Tech Transfer Summit set to be held next week in Adelaide

Following on from a successful first-ever Tech Transfer Summit (TTS) Australia in 2013, the TTS Global Initiative and AusBiotech are pleased to confirm the Australian chapter will be returning to South Australia next week with the support of major partner BioSA.
Of interest to the international community in early-stage biopharma innovation, technology transfer, partnering, licensing and venture capital, another two-day interactive conference awaits that will provide insight and debate on local and international technology transfer.
The TTS Australia 2014 program will feature a keynote presentation from Mark Rohrbaugh, director, technology transfer office at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) US. The NIH is a vital source of support in the world of biotechnology, life sciences and healthcare, with a minimum of US$30 billion annually spent on research.
Ruben Rathnasingham, associate director, early translational research at the University California, San Francisco, and Petra Andren, director strategy and business development, ATP Innovations will also deliver keynotes across the two days.

The TTS Australia Madderns Welcome Reception, proudly partnered by Madderns Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys, will be held on Tuesday, 2 September, where the 2014 BioSA Technology Achievement Awards will be presented by the Hon Gail Gago MLC, Minister for Science and Information Economy. Accolades will be awarded for Entrepreneurial Talent, Leadership and Innovation and Commercial Success within the South Australian biosciences and technology sector.
