Anyone interested in attending or presenting at the Australasian Genomic Technologies Association’s 2015 conference (AGTA15) now has a bit more time to register their details, with the conference extending its abstract submission and early-bird registration deadlines from 6 July to the end of the month.

To be held from 11–14 October at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, this 2015 event will bring together experts in new sequencing technology and applications, bioinformatics, data visualisation, medical and functional genomics, epigenomics and more. This year’s conference themes include:

  • Transcriptomics and the regulation of the genome
  • Genome evolution and bioinformatics
  • Developmental genomics and the origins of disease
  • Cancer genomics and precision medicine
  • Clinical genomics and the future of healthcare
  • Genomics of plants and fine wine
  • Microbial and single-cell genomics

The event is anticipated to attract 250 researchers and industry representatives who work with genomic technologies from Australia, New Zealand and around the world. For more information and to register your attendance, visit http://agtaconference.org/.
