Highlighting the digital health achievements of the sector

Digital health is one of the strongest trends in healthcare and is transforming the delivery of healthcare around the world, including, but not limited to, digital applications (apps) and wearable technology. AusBiotech members are increasingly developing digital health technologies.

AusBiotech is seeking to promote the broad and diverse developments taking place in the Australian medtech industry. If your company has developed or is developing a product in this space, AusBiotech is very keen to hear from you.

The next edition of the AusBiotech journal Australasian Biotechnology will be published in March 2015, and will include the feature topic ‘Digital health, the new direction in medtech’. The lead article will include an overview of the developing landscape in digital health from an industry perceptive, while a number of other articles will look at various aspects of digital health and apps. If your company is interested in contributing, you are invited to contact Linda Edgerton at ledgerton@ausbiotech.org by 15 February.

Alongside the journal feature, AusBiotech will be hosting a Digital Health Public Forum on 29 April, the opening morning of the AusMedtech 2015 conference in Melbourne. The inaugural forum will bring together those in the medtech industry with innovators, investors and others interested in digital health solutions and technologies. The program will include a keynote presentation from an industry leader and feature spotlight presentations from innovators across the digital health spectrum, as well as an interactive panel discussion.
