AusBiotech calls for nominations to the board of directors

Further to the notice of the forthcoming election for AusBiotech’s board of directors, nominations are now open for eligible AusBiotech members.

The new board will be announced at the AusBiotech Annual General Meeting at AusBiotech 2014 on the Gold Coast on 30 October 2014.

If you wish to be nominated as a candidate, please complete the nomination form (which can be found here) and return it to AusBiotech no later than 5 pm on 19 September 2014. The nomination form must be accompanied by a 350-word biography and a photo in either gif or jpeg format.

The election will be conducted by way of an online ballot. The ballot will open to members on 26 September and close on 10 October 2014.

Also at the AGM, AusBiotech will farewell departing directors Dr Deborah Rathjen (Chair), Peter Turvey and Dr Greg Roger.

AusBiotech extends sincere thanks to the elected and appointed directors, who have made a remarkable contribution the industry development in their respective roles.

Dr Rathjen has been a director and the chair of AusBiotech for the past six years. Dr Rathjen has also represented AusBiotech for the past year as the chair of the Pharmaceuticals Industry Council. Her tenure has been a significant transformative period for both the industry and for AusBiotech.

Dr Roger has served the board for eight years and has been a member of the Risk and Audit Sub-Committee.

Turvey has served the board for the past three years has been a member of the Risk and Audit Committee.

A fitting tribute of thanks for the contributions of Dr Rathjen, Dr Roger and Turvey will be made at the AGM and in the Annual Report 2014
