Economical and convenient 5ml vials of citrated freeze dried normal plasma in boxes of eight are available from Sydney supplier Haematex. These are the only vials available in Australia in such a convenient quantity and are manufactured by the French company Hyphen Biomed. They are used for APTT, Kaolin Clotting Time, Russells Viper Venom Time, mixing tests and for other lab studies where larger volumes of plasma are needed.
